Ideally, weekends are out of town trips and lazy brunches, preferably in some place like Xtremely Xpresso Cafe.

When in Subic, this bistro is a must-stop if only because it serves good Italian coffee, Lavazza. It doesn’t get any more vacation-y than indulging on comfort foods, which XXC offers in the form of all-day European breakfasts, rich pastas and giant pizzas.

For our lunch visit, I ordered Filipino breakfast, which turned out to be a diner-sized platter! It’s a Filipino breakfast sampler with pork tocino, longanisa, beef tapa, egg done according to preference and garlic rice.

Since Subic is in Pampanga, home to meat processing plants, the tocino and longanisa were naturally superior to those made in  Manila.

B ordered Meat Lasagna. Just looking at it made my mouth water. Let’s just say your resistance will be as firm as the melted cheese in that lasagna after the first bite.

While waiting for the food, customers can entertain themselves with word games at the back of their placemats. However if extremely hungry, recommend not to expend more energy.

The prices range ftom P150-P280 for meals. Not bad at all for a touristy place. Busy anytime of the day. Expect a handful of foreigners who seem to be staples, more often than not with a Filipina companion.

Xtremely Xpresso Cafe is located at #1 Dewey Ave. SBFZ. It has branches in Clark and Angeles. Visit xtremelyxpresso.com for more info.
